Bergè was founded in 1990 through the intuition of the founder Ugo Mentasca, already founder of the twenty-year-old belt factory "Pelletterie Palazzolesi", in order to satisfy the growing request for bags and accessories in leather. A trademark 100% Italian, specialised in the production and in the choice of leather, it is situated and developed in the area of Bergamo, well known for its quality and experience in working leather and metallic knick-knacks for the fashion industry.

An additional value is the production expertise, matured in the family concern and passed on to the second generation, giving the initiative to the collection for men, BERGE' MAN, a line which has discovered great success both in Italy and abroad. Continuous investment in research, development and experimentation have given opportunity to the company to keep abreast of the times, offering a product of outstanding care and handcrafted quality within the medium to upper fashion sector. Bags and belts made of real leather with strass and clasps have contradistinguished the collection making the name Bergè famous all over the world. Precious details, strass and guaranteed Swarosky are often in contact with brushed leather giving vintage effect. During 2009 the trademark Bergè obtained the certification "Producers of 100% guaranteed products Made in Italy"; all the bags and belts Bergè are traceable thanks to the anti-imitation codes of each tag.
